Meet D. Dewayne Kemp
Bishop-Designate D. Dewayne Kemp is the organizer and senior leader of The Church of Greater Love, a virtual church with a campus in Waldorf, Maryland, committed to transforming lives through the love and power of Jesus Christ. Through innovative ministry and authentic discipleship, Greater Love reaches people wherever they are while fostering a vibrant community of believers both online and in person.
He is the visionary of the Fountain of Love Fellowship Network, D. Dewayne Kemp Ministries, and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of AGAPE In Action Community Development Corporation.
His ministry foundation was profoundly shaped by the faithful mentorship of his spiritual mother, the late Bishop Florida T. Morehead, whose example of servant leadership and biblical integrity continues to influence his life and ministry. Today, he serves as the HMF Executive Administrator under the apostolic covering and fathering of Bishop Alan G. Porter, faithfully advancing the vision and work of Harambee Ministers Fellowship.
A native of southern Georgia, D. Dewayne often reflects on his humble upbringing as a country boy shelling peas, shucking corn, and picking blueberries. Those early experiences instilled in him the values of hard work, humility, perseverance, and service. Today, he shares life with his children, grandchildren, and a host of spiritual sons, daughters, and godchildren. His passion is helping people discover hope, healing, and purpose while freely giving of himself to serve others.
Bishop-Designate Kemp earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado Christian University and is pursuing a degree in Christian Counseling. He also brings more than twenty-five years of executive leadership experience across government, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations.
Known for his practical teaching, authentic leadership, and heart for people, Bishop-Designate Kemp is passionate about loving God's people and equipping them to discover, embrace, and fulfill their Kingdom assignment. He believes every person has been created by God with a unique purpose and is committed to developing leaders who will impact their families, communities, and the Kingdom of God for generations to come.
